New UK Dyno-Day and Ride-Out...

Mon Aug 01, 2005 1:44 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

As the poor weather called short our first Ride-Out attempt in June, this weekend provisional plans have been put into motion for an Autumn Dyno-Day and Ride-Out.

Please see the Dyno-Day and Ride-Out page on the main website for more details.

This may be our last chance to use this venue and its' "sympathetic to 2-strokes" operator, as unfortunately the GT Performance Motorcycles dyno may no longer be available after September this year. Sad

Yes we need Jeff back down with his 18'ed MC16, known as an MC17 and Wayne with the never yet dyno'ed MC18 R2J. Plus you will all get to see Andys 21 having its nuts rung again Twisted Evil

Sounds like a good opurtunity to see if the old TDR can crack 50hp....just found the L/H carb was running too rich, (ha, yes it's taken since June to figure that one out) so thats another 1hp, and I have a new pipe design which should increase the revs a little at the top-end (so it might peak a little higher than 8750), thats another 0.5hp...if I can be arsed to make them.

Maybe I could rig up the water injection to see if it actually works aswell...

The water injection would make for a great "comparison run" Martin. That would be interesting to see.

I may be able to drop off two chassis to you that week to get the pipes underway too, if it's convenient.

I'm in all the time Andy, so it's up to you...sooner the better really, if the dyno's not going to be available soon.

Don't worry, the pipes will all be dyno proven! That's all in hand! Wink

Yep, count me in too. Be good to see what the bike is doing having tweaked it a bit.

Maybe I'll create some delierate faults - like last time - just so Andy and Stephen can gloat about how great their eyesight is!

Absolutely, and -with your advice - it was making 51 when I left, so it'd better be dribbling out more than that!

I might stick the standard pipes back on actually, be interesting to see what difference it makes...
