just got some stuff from tyga and was a little dissapointed with the quality for the tyga eyes upper crowl. it seem like there is a lot of preperation needed. just was wondering if this was normal? _________________ 94 mc28 SE
Before you post on here, have you contacted Tyga to discuss this? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

no i havent coz i dont really have time to send it back. was just checking if anyone else had a prob or i must have gotten a dud _________________ 94 mc28 SE
Well, Tyga are generally very good at rectifying issues, but they can't help you if you don't contact them!
Take a pic and email it accross to them, see what they have to say...
By the way, I'm not defending Tyga out of blind faith. I had a problem and they sorted it out asap. I'd advocate talking to any vendor first, before going to a forum. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

on 400 grey bike alot of people have been saying this too, I had a mc21 with tyga fairings, although i love what tyga do it was very thin, aint having a go just think that maybe they should be aware of what their customers have to say, wouldnt stop me buying from them in future though.
Hello all, I havent had fairings from tyga YET (but its next on my list of things to do) but my NSR currently has a aftermarket stock front fairing and its thin also, i think its just the way it is. My friend has got one off molds for his RGV500 and they are like paper but again, once they are painted up they look the bussiness. Stuart had a Tyga Fairing on his MC18 at Cadwell and it looked fine. unpainted but nice shape and fitted well. Is it just the finish on the fairing? or is it miss shaped. I wouldnt worry about the finish itll turn out nice once you get your painter on the case.
Jon, you're probably aware of all the fuss and crap that went around about Tyga, and the rather... strange... way Dave dealt with them.
Tyga are good to us NSR owners, and we do feel a little protective of them. If there are issues, and you haven't told them, it's not fair to deride the company in public.
On the other hand, if you have told them, and got a 'bog off we're not interested', then by all means tell the world! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

On Saturday (the early part, before the World collapsed around us) we were privallaged to see the virgin fitting of TYGA's new RCV kit to an NC30.
Now you all know that (at least most of you do anyway) Matt and Paul are personal friends of mine, but it's never stopped me saying what I think about their products and/or service - good or otherwise - and I tell you, there have been a few words "otherwise" not that long ago!
Although a 400 bodywork set, and totally unfinished from the mould other than final trimming, I was in despair at the 400 guys for slating their kit! Sure, preparation is required before painting, but for such a small outlay, what stood in front of us was a VFR400R that looked as stunning as any 2005 model.
The NSR stuff is equally as good. Again, yes, the panels need prepping before paint, but how many owners are going to ride around on bare bodywork for any extended length of time? At the end of the day, your MC21/28 can look so similar to a 2004/5 Pedrosa (or whoever) RSW it is almost impossible to keep my wallet in my pocket! You really have to see Paul's bike in real life to believe it!
We bought in an Aprilia RS250 race bodykit from a UK supplier at the beginning of the year for a customer, and TYGA's NSR kit is definitely lighter and just as good quality, if not better, but both kits would've needed similar preparation before painting. Buy a back-issue of Performance Bikes, or wait for the upcomming feature of Frank Mitchell's MC21 to see just how good the TYGA stuff looks once a good paint shop has hold of it for a fortnight!
If you want something good "out-of-the-box", buy OEM panels! _________________ Andy.

And then there's the company that I won't name, that sells standard MC21 and MC28 bodywork, from moulds that still carried the old imprints from the sticker kit of the original donor bike!! My 250gp tyga bodywork required no more prep work than other fibre fairings I've had... _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
ah no dont get me wrong, im not ashamed to admit it, i love tyga lol, ever since i had my mc21 with the gp500 seat and tyga eyes, i havent slated them and never will, this what im saying has all come from people at 400 grey bike.
For a split second, the TYGA NC30 kit made me sick to my stomach on Saturday... for that very nanosecond I actually contemplated what it would be like to own a bore stroke, just because the kit looked SO good!
Mind you, the moment of madness soon passed, and I was back sniffing the Castrol R again!
I wasn't taking anything the wrong way Jon, so don't worry, I just wanted to express how good the NC kit looked even in its' bare form, and the fact that all aftermarket stuff needs some kind of prepping. You may even get two TYGA RSW kits that need a different amount of work... it's all about how it comes out of the mould. _________________ Andy.

I've had a s**t-load of stuff from tyga including 3 fairing sets.
You get what you pay for.
It's NOT the very best, no. But did you SEE what they charged you???!!! _________________
