The last thing I want to do is drop the bike, but this may be inevetable. Does anyone know if another Honda model (CBR, VFR etc.) that uses the same bolt size or fairing fit for a kit of these? I'm new on the topic of putting them on, but if I'm gonna ride it, I would like to without sratching up the bodywork. _________________ Party hardy all night long till the sun comes up and the cows come home. Do you mean carbon frame rail protectors? If you get the frame down during a crash the bike is probably toast, since it's so damn slim.
I did buy the mushroom thingies for mine, but never got round to fitting them as I couldn't find anywhere suitable... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

From what I can tell, these won't do much unless you're going at low speed (down on a knee for some of you) out on an open road and you hit a small patch of gravel, oil, small yet perfectly round sticks or your motor hiccups and the rear wheel kicks out from under you. If you don't hit the ground too hard, you'll slide for a short distance at worst and hopefully these should keep the fairings from touching the ground.
The only two questions I can't figure out is if they make a set of these for the bolt sizes on these bikes and if cutting is required to fit them properly. _________________ Party hardy all night long till the sun comes up and the cows come home. Yeow!
I'd guarantee cutting is required, there's simply no way of mounting anything to the frame of the NSR and having it protrude from the fairings or seat unit. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Maybe someone will eventually come out with a set or I could use custom fairings. I'll try asking more companies what is possible. _________________ Party hardy all night long till the sun comes up and the cows come home. Yeow!
You could obviously make brackets to adapt anything that's out there, but really, the NSR bits are so narrow that the fairing is the only thing to get damaged in a crash - unless it's a major one.
The bike slides well on the panels and seat unit, using the exhaust and handlebar as a balance point! _________________ MC21SP Plaything
