Probably some mass market, common as muck, readily available, cheap and cheerful new-age version of the 350LC that any spotty teenager can get his hands on and spares for from any scrappy for a Tenner?! Wink

Yep that was all the pro's

Laughing

PS There was definatley no mass voting instigated by the RGV forum Admin to affect the outcome of the poll after not even appearing in the top 200 last year. Laughing It will confuse a few CBR600RR riders with theirs trailing in 7th Very Happy

Ride Magazine. It's a waste of £2.99 though.

I think I can honestly say I have never actually bought a single copy of RIDE! I don't know how they ever stay in business, it's pretty crap reading, in my opinion!

No I don't either but had to buy it (to save the results of my internet experiment for prosperity.)

I'll scan it soon but don't want to annoy them while it's still in print Smile

For what it's worth PB is much better now.

Funny thing is you basically cheated and still didn't win.

The catagories don't really allow a 2 stroke to do well with only around 1/3rd of the marks relating to how good the bike is to use and 2/3rds being on how it is to live with.

Funny though, a bit like Iron Maiden telling all their fans to buy that single to get it to go straight in at number one.

Can't say I approve of cheating, but then again I don't see any reason why a two stroke isn't the second best sports bike. The RGV was the only one sold in enough numbers to be able to make the list, so why not?

We all know the NSR is better, there's just not enough of them. Wink

I wouldn't say it was cheating as such. I just brought the poll to a lot of RGV riders attention.

Here is the top ten:

ZX-6R 2005 model avg price £7129 Shocked
RGV 250 all years avg price £901 Laughing
GSXR600 2004
Daytona 600 2004
CBR600RR 2003
ZX-6R 2003-2004
VFR400/RVF400 all years
GSXR600 2001-2003
RS250 1994-2003
YZF-R6 2003-2004

When all the catergories were mixed together the RGV came 12th out of 171 bikes voted for. In that list there are only 3 2-strokes RGV RS250 and RS125 (166)

I think it's fairly telling that 3 "small bikes" made it in the top ten.............manufacturers are you listening? Rolling Eyes
