I'm new to NSR's so the long first gear take off is really hard for me to get use to ,I'm running standered sprockets would a 43 on the back help and would I have to buy a new chain any and all info would help including part numbers or suppliers,lots of traffic here in dallas tx!!!!!

It'll lower the gearing making it easier to launch the bike, but will obviously lower your top speed. You should get away without a new chain, as long as yours isn't so tight it's on the front end of it's travel.

I have shortened gearing on mine, as I prefer the faster acceleration.
