On the intake side, there'll be a letter, or no mark at all. Mine have 'A' stamped on them. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

They have those on their too. I dunno what they mean, but those are moulded into the barrel at casting, whereas the letter is stamped on. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I'm not going to say there is no H1 H2 L or whatever but if it's the casting marks they're probably not something to concern yourself with, the letter we're looking for stamped on and dicates the correct piston to use;
Check the clearance anyway, not with a verni-eye gauge either and if you're replating send the piston away with the cylinder and say what clearance you want rather than trusting something to chance. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Since mine is an SP, I can safely say the L is for SP barrels then.
I hope. Unless my motor is lying to me... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Great I have 4 barrels off two dry clutch motors. 2 have L2 and the other 2 have h1. I was going to put a L2 and a h1 on my bike. do these marks really mean anything. If so what, or is there a link to something that explains the diffrences. _________________
Oooh Great, I measured the lenghts of the my cylinders. The H1 cyclinder is shorter then the L1 cylinder. Does anyone know if the cylinder heads are different? They have diffrent #'s on them. What is the best combo of base gasket, cyclinder and head?
