help with a m-Max Box please

Sun Oct 30, 2005 1:02 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I am in the middle of stripping my 2nd NSR and today i took the rear subframe off, (its bent) BUT i see that the M Max box on the bike might not be working i always thought the bike was a bit slow, but the orange wire comming from the m-max box going to the PGM dosent make it....its lose..The orange and blue wire from the pgm has been cut but thats all the orange wire from the mmax box dosent connect to anything. and the pgm just has a cut wire...

So re cap,

blue and orange pgm wire cut
MMAX box orange wire not connected to anything.

Anybody help, dose the mmax connet to the pgm, or feed the lose wire cut from the PGM.?

Cheers

Hey rc46
Here are a couple of pictures of the M-box on my MC-21. The orange wire form the M-box is connected to the orange blue. It should be connected to the pgm side and the other end should not be connected. Very Happy

You can see the pics at the link below.

Me too monkey, shes running a little rich but everything else looks fine now iv had a look at every thing, It also looks like the bloody sparkplugs haddent been tighten up, the front one had oil/fuel comming out of it and was hand tight. This SE just looks like a case of neglect, Never mind she'll be fit as a fiddle when im finished.

Orange wire is the ingnition limiter isnt it, dont know what it means if this is just cut. that may have added to the problems,

cheers again
