is there a lot of work in changing from wet to dry clutches
and the big question is should i bother. when i got the bike it looked like a "R" model but with a bit of digging i have now found its a 1990 sp that has had the rear end changed to an "R" damper and the front the same also the clutch has been converted to wet. let me what you all think as im stuck
sounds more like its not an sp, cant see anyone in their right mind taking all the sp bit off and creating an r, unless it was an r and had a frame change _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
its got magteks and the clutch cover look like new compared with the rest of the engine and as for "any one in there right mind" well ill post some pics and you can see how badly they have tried to kill it looks like a pissed up two year old has got hold of his dads dremel
lucky i found it in time ive been rebuilding bikes as long as i can remember but this one has just been abused by people that think they know better than the experts when its finished it will be mint ask lukeykookey what im like when i get going..............................LOL
It sounds more like a frame swap to me, as mick says no one would swap it over and to top it of i cant see them doing a suspension swap!!!! BUT if you want to do it, ive done it, and its not to bad (remeber to take the GPS switch out SEE MY POST) i swaped out the se dry clutch and put in a wet!!!!!! may be you have a point!!!!!!! LOL i am in my right mind i just wanted the dry clutch for my bike??? any way, if you can get a complete bottom end - the crank and cases itll be a breeze! if you need help and decide to go that way drop me a line and ill give you lots of hints so you dont make as many mistakes as me.
it looks like to me that the bike was in a front end smash at some point as the rad is knackerd so thay may of just got a good deal on a set of r dampers
does any one remember the bike its red and silver, i got it of a bloke in telford.
