I'd want it to be in mint condition for that kind of money!

As it's a perfectly legal bike in Canada, then there is no reason why it should fetch such a premium. I know they were never officially imported to Canada, but they weren't to the Uk either, and good ones are available here for less than half that!

I love the MC16 to bits so I'm not trying to put you off, but remember it's a 19 year old bike, and think what kind of maintenance something else (more commonly available - say an RZ250) of similar age is going to require.

There's no reason why it shouldn't be reliable, but even though it's low maileage, everything is old, and susceptible to deterioration by the elements, if nothing else.

My '16 has similar mileage, so yours has probably been sitting in someone's garage for 5 or 10 years like mine. In my profession people like to say that if a piece of equipment has been sitting still for a period of time, it will be as reliable (when it is put into operation again) as if it had been run as normal for the same duration...Which means that an 18 year old bike will never add up to more, even if the kms are very low! I'm finding this one out for myself the hard way... If I had it to do over, I would have spent more on a newer bike, simple as that. Wink
