Just read this extract from a Crash.net interview with Fogarty on Rossi's eventually GP departure for the 1st time and I feel I am fully justified in my loathing of this idiot... Sorry Foggy fans! Wink

"It'll be big," Foggy told Crash.net, when asked about Rossi's eventual exit. "It happened with me in Superbike, with Mick Doohan in MotoGP and when it happens with Rossi - well, then you're just left with a bunch of ... (laughs)... a bunch of very good motorcycle racers!

"But those that are left are not, you know... if you go out on the street today in England and ask someone to mention a (Superbike rider's) name, they'll probably still mention my name! They won't know who the other guys are, that's the difference.

"So it'll be difficult. But I've always said 'no championship is bigger than one name' and, like with me in Superbike, it will carry on - obviously - it won't die a death or anything like that.

As usual, Foggy Flatters himself , if that isn't an understatement , if you were to stop and ask the average Joe Public to name a Motorcyle racer they will actually name Sheene , once again Fogey puts his foot in it. Embarassed

Lets face it these guys are racers, foggy could not ride anything other than a red ducati if he wasnt winning he was making excusses, TWAT. dont like the man always up his own arse never a nice word to say about anyone! Jon K with his love for hovers and hondas was a better rider than CF...............mmmm have i missed the point and just had a rant!!! sorry Very Happy

Yup - Foggy is a big numpty. He reckons he would have beaten Doohan if he'd had the chance, and probably Rossi too no doubt - BOLLOX. He couldn't beat an egg.

My likkle 3 year old lad likes Mr Rossi, and that's just fine by me Very Happy !

Fair's fair, Foggy did win a whole bunch of stuff, and did rather well in the Island too, so you can't justify calling him crap.

His attitude is much like that of most fighter pilots - total arrogance, and self belief. If he didn't win, it's because the bike had a fault - never that the other guy was better on the day. If he won it was him, not that the rest had problems.

You also have to give him credit for the Petronas team he's put so much effort into. He's still got the fighting spirit and is still in bike racing, which is more than can be said for a whole host of other riders...

Jamie Whitham & Jezza McWilliams are the nicest blokes i've ever talked to.

I met Jezza in the bogs (of all places!) of the Sports Cafe at a Fast Bikes party a few years back. I mentioned that it was my (then) GF's 21st birthday, so he came out and wished her a happy birthday & had a chat.

Chatted with Jamie a few times over the years. He's a top bloke, will talk for ages about anything. I met him too at Brands with said Ex-GF & he was very happy to cuddle up for a photo! Laughing

I met Whitham at the Beaulieu bike show this year,oh yes he likes to talk, hes a big 2 stroke fan and was happy to pose for pictures. He had just come in from doing a demo ride when we were takling to him and he preceeded to remove his leathers in front of us( this was outside in full view of everyone) leaving him stood there in his boxer shorts and tee shirt(much to the wifes delight).Hes a top man and he let my wife in the roped off area to get some close up pictures of the bikes he was riding.

Did sheene ride ride a superbike bike then Shocked

I,m with Dave on this one again Shocked just because you dont like how he talks, does not make him a crap rider. and you cannot put it all down to a bike. yes he was only world champion on a duke, but he beat all the other great riders on red bikes.

I hate the way he gobs off too, but i,m not going to call him a crap ride because of that.

Ahh, superbikes, the place where dropped motoGP reders go to race the ones that never made the cut ?

Foggy - he's like an RD350 - wouldn't cut it these days but was something to talk about a while ago. Bless Razz

Rossi is a strange person, he just doesn't look right and I have no likes o dislikes but to ride the way he does on an inferior machine - pure talent kids....

I've always had a dislike for Foggy I can remember hurling abuse at him with Luke F at Brands one year. Happy memories eh?

But you have to admire him for what he achieved and I think that it takes that kinda mind set to become a champion. "F**k everyone else and I'm always right". I know Whitham is a nice bloke, but then he's never one a World Championship.

Again, Doohan was renown for being a moody bastard when he was on the 500 and I guess that single mindedness (or is it focus) is what made him great.

Oh yeah i akinda remeber that, was i waering me hawian shirt by chance? if so i beleive i may have been a little tipsy at the time fella, and if i recal hurling abuse at anyone within 20m. That was a funny weekend i still have the track side warning sign at home!!

In the indusrty i worked I had the unpleasant experince of being around folk who worked with and for him.

great rider complete and utter ----

Nobody knocked him out cause he was a Corse rider worth millions

I personall watched him turn a hotel receptionist to tears at Donington at 8.30am, every one bit there lip.

Great rider complete and utter ----

Wasn't Foggy actually holding pole untill the last couple of minutes on a 500 one year? That's no mean feat.

He was bloody fast, but didn't quite cut it at the absolute top level. Never did a full season though.

i agree totally mate, but i also agree that he should stop mouthing off. cant speak personally but the guy who is spraying my tail does the Petronas paint work and he recons he is actually a nice guy....just a normal British bloke who happens to have won 5 world championships the TT a couple of times runs his own race team (with Malaysian money) and has done something for British sport, and motorcycles.
how many people ride bikes now because of watching him as a kid, 2T or 4T doesnt matter they are bikes on the road.
sounds to me like a few of you have English syndrome if they are at the top shoot em down if they are at the bottom cheer em on.

I say we cheer them all on. If they're Brits (sorry you other guys) then that's a good thing, and to see them beating the other guys (sorry you other guys!) is a good thing too.

I used to lose money every GP weekend when I worked in Japan 'cos in the Harc-Pro sweepstake I always put my cash on Jezza in the 250's and he never came in Mad

LOOK, LOOK, look, OK... Right, I never said Faggy was a bad rider, he's a very good rider indeed (unlike that big cheese Rossi... Wink ), but what I AM saying, is that he is actually a prize idiot because he just seems to blurt out these inflamatory comments about other classes and riders, who are arguably better than he ever was... And for no apparent reason either! Smile Big love, peace out

Niall Mac and Reynolds (plus others, Hislop etc) kick his coulo big time on short circuits anyway... If he wanted to prove himself completely on superbikes, he should've come back to BSB when he was riding!
