I wanted a few specific decals - the SP ones on the tail unit, and Wylie and Holland (a dealer near Telford) were very good. Initially they reckoned they had a microfiche thingy but they didn't. It took some effort but they eventually got a fax of the diagram detailing all of the stickers and their part numbers for the '96 MC28 Repsol SP. Then I just picked the ones I needed - stickers weren't cheap though, I got the 2 SP tail ones and that was about 23 quid I think.
Sooo... try Wylie and Holland or hastle your local Honda dealer, if Wylie can do it then any other Honda dealer should be able to help if they can be arsed .

Er, and the Online Parts Manual was no good for finding "all of the stickers and their part numbers for the '96 MC28 Repsol SP" because?... _________________ Andy.

What, your suggesting wandering into any old Honda dealer anywhere in the country (world?) with the part numbers and just ordering them?
Crazy man, it'll never work! _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Wow - that was freaky - I was just thinking of you Fontyyy as I added a bit of (hopefully appreciated) sarcasm to my reply. And you put a post in the same minute - freaky .
Wylie and Holland were very helpful though, top marks for effort.
I have given several dealers here in the UK genuine part numbers, and they have been able to supply NSR parts.
I will say it one more time, ALL Honda (UK) dealers CAN order NSR250 (and any other grey market model) parts. They were all issued microfiche about 10 years ago due to the increasing market they were loosing out on because of their stubborness not to supply "import" parts. Whether they choose to help you though, is another matter, which is why it's best to give them the part number wherever possible, and to shop around.
Honda UK dealers are not cheap at first glance though, and not all parts are available, as you would expect with a bike that ceased production (and was never a worldwide model, hence limited in numbers at the best of times!) over 10 years ago, but many items are carried in stock in Honda Europe, and delivery to the dealer is often "next day" if ordered before 2pm! Even parts from Honda Japan will often be at an official dealer within 5-10 working days, and the customer will pay nothing extra for this - it's totally at Honda's expense!
That makes buying some parts a lot less expensive that it seems at first glance, but consider that maybe you can buy a top-end kit outside the UK for around £175 (including the shipping) there is the very real possibility of +21% VAT and duty to pay on top which takes that total to over £210 - not much less than Honda UK in the end, and more often than not, those parts will be waiting for you to collect the following day!
Of course, buying from your favourite supplier outside the UK (or from us here at NSR-WORLD) will support the development and services available to you, the owners, which in turn makes owning one of the trickest motorcycles ever sold even more pleasurable! I only really advocate using the Honda UK dealers if you are absolutely desperate for the parts as quickly as possible! _________________ Andy.

Yep, I asked about Magtek seals (they're about 1/2 a mill smaller than normal ones) in our local but tiny proper approved Honda dealer, he hadn't got a clue so I got the part # off the site, he keyed it into the worlds oldest PC which was sat on the desk and said "well, I don't know what they are but I can order them, they are a Honda part" and 2 days later they arrived. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
It's been mentioned elsewhere too, that the Online Parts Manual has old out-dated part numbers.
While this is in part correct, any OFFICIAL Honda dealer will be able to supply "superceded" parts as the computer system automatically updates the part number information (live) as it is entered. _________________ Andy.
