£450'd be really cheap, he'd double his money if he broke it. The rear wheel (also fit's an NC35) is worth £250 on it's own, working PGM4's fetch £200+ on Yahoo Japan, one was advertised on here for $550 (£310), Apex did have one up for £400+, it's gone now, the dry clutch bottom end is worth a couple of hundred pounds, a decent barrel, head and piston kits will fetch an easy £150 each, rear shock £100 etc.

Bad luck, you should have stuck while the iron was hot, he probably told the buyer he'd got a bit of interest (you umming and ahhing, maybe 1 or 2 others) at £700 and the bloke did a quick bit of maths and figured it's worth a lot more so offered £900 to get it there and then.

It's good to see they're ('28's) holding some value as mine stands me at a (not so) small fortune.

I'd have thought not, they're so rare and those that have got them paid a lot for them and arguably for no reason other than they're trick and rare.

I was offered a mint fully derestricted SP for £4700 when I was after mine Shocked

I've only ever seen SP's up for sale ever and always over £3000 except for Graeme France's non runner (and he was after £2k+ for that), I've never even seen a wet clutch one.

Good luck Wink

Personally I wouldn't pay more than £2500ish or max £3000 for a mint low mileage with history. If you look around, like the post above from blade for instance, you can find quite a few pop up during the year. Not a quick process as they are limited, but possible.

You're best bet is to look at ads other than those from members of this site, and on ebay, as the smaller ads and bikemart are where you can usually find the bargains at more reasonable prices.

I've concluded that my "cooking" R is worth a mint!
Seems to be the only one on the board - think the poseur points should be re-visited!! Smile
DEDUCT points for dry clutch I say!! Cool
