A new addition

It was a bargain ok? And I do like to travel...

Bird

Slightly damaged hence £1200:

Bird2

I'll fix it up and ride it a bit, and if I don't like it, will do up properly and sell on at a tidy profit! I hope... Rolling Eyes

It's a lot of bike for the money, and much better looking than a Hyabusa, if slower. (Not that the top speed matters to 99% of us!)

They should've only ever have made them in matt black though!

Having nosed through the 'Bird forums for a couple of days, there's a lot of rivalry between the colours. Worse than us and 18/21/28!

The Busa is plain ugly, and of course it doesn't have the Honda build quality on it's side either! I will NEVER ride it flat out, so it's immaterial really. Can't recall the last time I topped 130 to be honest. Anyone here ever done 180+ mph? Shocked

Fastest I've been is 163mph... Felt slow!

The bird has a bit of a mental engine, more of a powerband than a 929 or 954 ever had... So I'm sure you won't be dissappointed Dave! Very Happy

Been around 176mph on my 90 FZR 400/600. That's pulling away from my friends 2004 Ninja 600 rr. His speedo is digital and read 174 mph. Probably wrong, but we were still movin !!

And had my Posche 951 at 165 on the speedo, once again, probably wrong but the car had more rev left, was still pullin, but started to lift. Very nerve racking situation... That's fast for 4 wheels and only $8,000 US!

Judging by the time it took StephenRC45 to get from outside my place in Exmouth to his in Saltash, and get online, I know the answer to this question is a definte "yes"!!

I had time to make some toast, a cup of tea, and check the TV schedule... by the time I sat in front of the PC he was online! I think it was 23 minutes or something equally stupid! Shocked

That's an average of about 140mph! (There's 10 miles of 30mph limit out of Exmouth!)

Wasn't on an NSR then? Probably a white van - everyone knows they're the fastest thing on the road!

I've done 160 on the IOM at Jurby airfield, and a sustained 155 on the motorway years ago when I first got my FJ (1990).

Very Happy 182 mph last Sunday.Ive only just finished running in the GSXR so I gave it the Berry's.I would have got to the speed limiter at 186 mph but a car moved into my lane about 2 miles ahead of me Sad .This was of course done on a private road that was closed to the public Wink

I blame it on the bike.
