Do you just want it reserviced? Revalved? Did the nitro charge go flat? You need to have a servicing valve installed if you want any work done to it.

I do all my own work. Typically, the o-rings in the nitro cannister go hard and dont hold a good seal. You cant get the parts from Honda, but they are readily-available standard sizes.

If it isnt leaking any oil, the shaft seal should be OK. If it is, most any of the street suspension tuners can change it out. The CBR600 F3 (and a few other CBR's) shock uses all the same consumable parts, though the spring valving are different.

I'm not sure what I want. Just want to make sure its in top shape for riding. I'm even thinking about going with an Ohlins, but I don't know if I can justify the expence. I want want to get a different spring as well. I haven't decided what to do with the front. I would like to do USD, but haven't figured out the best way. Is there a reason why I can't ue a CBR600 USD, or maybe Aprilla RS250?

By the way, I read somewhere that you were stationed at Yokota for a while? I was there from Nov '99 through May '03.

That bike you brought back isnt a red/white MC21 R, is it? That was the only other NSR I saw on Base.

I have never been to Japan. If I was I would have brought back a MC28 SP, and probably more than one. I have a MC21 SE.
