I have a 21 which has been stood for a number of years, I recently decided to get it fired up but am getting no spark, I have tried a few things but thought I would ask for some ideas.
What have you tried so far? - just so we don't go over the same ground... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I say again, what have you checked? Remember the pick up's need to be signalling the PGM before it'll spark, so don't leap at the PGM before you have all the evidence... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Yeah, don't dive on the PGM amigo, its probably not the faulty part. I have the same problem but when i tested my PGM on another bike it was ok and the bike ran. I put it back on mine and no spark.
On my bike everything electrical that remains (its got the HRC wiring harness on it so no lights, but i have tried the standard wiring on it again, but still no spark...) is visibly working (temp guage, power valve servo), apart from the ignition system.
God knows what's wrong with it... _________________ After years of moaning about immigrants now i am one...

Hermit, did you look to see if the pick-up wiring had worn through at the back where you can`t see it without taking them off.
There were a couple of bikes showing the same symptoms you mentioned ages ago.
Hope you get it sorted soon, been dragging on a bit this one!
