Honda Single Sided Swingarm questions

Wed Jul 26, 2006 7:06 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just wondering what the rear wheel rim width is on various s/sided swingarms on Honda bikes:

NSR250/MC28?
VFR400/NC30?
RVF400/NC35?
VFR800

Specifically I am looking for a swingarm that would have a 5.0 rear rim.

FWIW, I have a racing supermotard with Marchesini 5.0x17 on my Service Honda CR500AF

RC30 runs 5.5" on the stock arm or up to 6" on the factory arm (or in a stock arm with a 180 rear).

RC45 runs a 6" stock but will also run a 5.5" or a 6.25" with the factory arm

4.5 on all the 250/400 variants, 18" rear for the NC30, 17" for the MC28/NC35

any swingarms that ran a 5.0 rear rim?

Fri Jul 28, 2006 2:12 am » Post: #4 » Download Post

Thanks for the replies!

I guess I was looking for a 5.0 rear rim as that would match what is on my CR500 right now. I don't know if I could fit a 5.5.

1/4 inch closer to the chain if the swingarm is centered. It may depend on tire size, but I am close already with a 5.0.

If I could find a plated/titled/street legal 250 or 400 in the states, what a treat that would be!!!

Don't forget the RC30 and NC30 both ran a 18" rear wheel.
