Can you rebore nsr barrels i thought they were nickle or chrome plated.

as far as im aware you can.
The person who is re-plating my cylinders has done 280cc big bore kit for an nsr250 for one of his customers before.he tried to talk me into having it done,but im taking them back to standard bores.

if they are worn out of spec you will need to have them replated.

Its called Nikasil (Nickle Silicon). It was invented by Mahle in Germany inthe 60s. It can be done but very few places actually do it.
