Okay this is strange, it sorta goes on from the gear box leaking etc i posted a few days back. The specs page and im sure ive done the dry box before Say 0.7ltrs of g box oil for a change !!! right? well i drain the box as best i could, (leaned it over far enough to drain the most i could from it) and i took out 650ml now ive just tried to fill it back up again and 700ml is to much!!!!!! its right up to and dripping out the filler hole?? the bike is on its track stand so its upright!!! this is weird!!!! dose the dry clutch mean that the box will take less oil than a wet clutch r model? also i couldnt get any of the usual oil from Honda, so is Motul 10/40w g box oil okay?

cheers

An R motor will always take more oil than a SE/SP motor for a given oil hight in the gear box. I just fill them so the dip stick just touches the oil.

Yup thats what ive done! I took 50ml out with my Ebay Syringe LOL and its okay, But it got me wondering if maybe there was to much in there before and thats why the seal was leaking??? Im gona change it anyway as ive ordered the parts, but as i took out 650 before maybe thats a better amount for a Drain N Change! and maybe thats why the leaking from the clutch got a little less as the day went on?? Cheers
