Can anyone tell me if a taillight marked KV3 on the white plastic moulding is for an 18 or a 21? Bought it as a replacement for the slightly damaged one on my 21 but it doesn't look to be quite the same as the one fitted
I believe KV3 is the part code for all nsr models.The rear light for a mc21 is 33705kv3831 according to the parts manual on this site. Try www.davidsilverspares.co.uk they had these on their parts list for £20 + vat the last time I checked.

From memory, I think the one on my 21 seemed to have different fixing points when I had a quick look, but it was just a brief look and it was a few weeks ago (bike is kept elsehere so i can't just pop out and check)
The only thing wrong with mine is that the clear number plate part of the lens is broken. Do you know if the actual lenses are the same btwn the 18 & the 21? Or do they differ too like the white 'body' part does? It looks like the lens simply clips out, so if they are compatible i could just swap the lenses over couldn't I?
The MC18 is probably a little longer... no reason why you couldn't cut it down. I would've thought any clear piece of perspex would do the job though, they aren't particularly powerful (hot) bulbs. _________________ Andy.
