Torque settings

Sun Oct 29, 2006 10:09 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have had a good look around the website and apologies if I have missed it and it on here somewhere.

I have removed the rear wheel of my MC28SP to have a new tyre fitted and do not know what the torque setting should be for the big nut on the right side. Could anyone advise me please.

Also, is there a full listing of reccomended torque settings for all nuts n' bolts as this would be useful for future reference.

I'm 99% sure the torque setting is 120NM. Its always alittle off though due to the fact your never lucky enough to torque the nut up and have the pin holes line up so they always have to be under torqued or over torqued just to get the nut in the right postion.

There is however a HRC mod to over come this trouble but thats another story.

Pretty damn tight.
Well that's what I do mine and they've never fallen off.

Although I would point out you can't torque it properly as it has to line up with a hole to put the pin through.

Torque wrench? Tch, what next? Gas analyzer? Det counter? Bloody feeler gauge? Boyfriend maybe?

As for the rest of the torque settings if you can get a torque wrench into all four bottom cylinder nuts on both barrels all power to you Wink

Thanks Stephen / Fontyyy Smile .
I Just wanted to make sure my nice magtek wasn't going to go AWOL.
I was fairly sure feckin' tight would be OK, but it is nice to have a figure to work to. I don't get to use my big butch torque wrench much so it's nice to use it now and then.
