I went up with my old man and a mate on Saturday.

Not a lot there to be honest, just loads of little stands selling crap.

There were a few bints in tighter than tight lycra to look at though Shocked

My mates only 21 so he was dying to have a go on the mini motos, i haven't done them for years but thought it would be a giggle. My 'youthful' mate actually struggled cos he's pretty tall, managing a best lap time of 27 seconds. I managed to do a 20 second lap which i think was 2nd or 3rd fastest time of the day! Very Happy And i didn't get a clear lap cos of all the slower (and younger) riders Razz

Not bad for a 30-something eh? Wink

Went on Monday. I agree there was little to look at - they all look the damn same and make stupid power these days you cannot possibly use on todays roads.

I did buy an Alpinestars jacket though: £179 reduced to £79 from the J&S clearout. Bargain!

The most interesting stand there was the customs one. Some incredible engineering there, though I'm not sure I'd want to ride far on any of them!

Overall, not worth the £15 to get in, unless you want a bargain off the stalls.

only £8 for traders Very Happy was still crap though. Met a few nice people and a few weirdo's so all in all not too bad, didn't buy anything except a foot long subway (or 2) Rolling Eyes

I liked the customs but my money would go on the CCM flat track style bikes. (if I was selling out that is)

Doesn't the CCM use another poorly designed Suzuki engine, I think there is a pattern here?

I went on Sunday it was the same as ever but I do like looking at the race bikes.
I did like KTM's 125 GP bike ,how small ?? Shocked
Shame they didn't bring the 250 Sad

It was a nice touch of Honda UK to let my boy sit on John McGuiness's TT winning Blade from this year. They put the silly jester's hat on my boy that John had on after he won and they gave my boy the winning constuctors throphy to hold which was as big as him .I got some good photo's of him Very Happy
They also gave him a 50p coin from the Isle of Man which had "Honda TT winners 2006 "on one side but the little S"*T tried to spend at the first sweet stall he found Rolling Eyes

I was a bit shocked to see Ronald Ten Kate on their stand selling a hat to someone dont they have people to do that sort of thing.
It did cross my mind to ask him as he know's how to make a Honda go quick if he know's anything about 2 strokes and if he fancyed coming to our dyno day Laughing
I did check my small change when I saw the sticker's on Toselands & (I can't spell him name but that French rider who won the Supersports title) bikes saying FOR SALE but I wanted to get a coffee and my money wouldn't strech to buying both so I got a coffee Laughing

Not been to the NEC in years......I've always struggled to see why I should pay to get in somewhere for people to sell me stuff. Don't have to pay to get into Tescos!

I used to go to the Ally Pally show on account of it being dedicated to race bikes. But even that has been sabotaged by bric a brac stalls, so can't be bothered with that one either...... God I'm a miserable sod!

The only thing left is a trip to the Tokyo show......anyone fancy it?
