Just got my loom from ebay om the main body is trimed at one point. Seems that there 2 green wires connected to one green. is covered with = blue tape. Is this normal or is it something it should be there?

I think you'll find that's factory. The thicker green wires are earths, and for ease of fitting, the various earth lines from all over the bike are brought to one central point for connection to the frame and battery.

Dave's correct, that blue insulation tape is Honda.

I've had MC16, MC18, and MC21 harnesses apart, and they all have the same blue tape at certain points.

Yep I found the same on my 28. Looks like a backyard mechanic but I think its Honda as my bike was unmolested before I got it.
