Custom vinyl...

Sun Apr 29, 2007 2:36 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

OK guys, I have a vinyl (sticker) cutting machine that I would like to put to light work!

I don't want to go too commercial with it yet, just do some custom stuff to make a few quid to invest in the Site, Racer, and events we'd like to participate in and/or organise where some capital is required. (I'm sick of leaning on my credit card up front for everything!) Smile

Please e-mail me (no PM's) with any ideas and requirements. I'm not after bogging myself down with 1001 jobs, so don't be offended if I say no to some! Cost will be dependant on how much work I need to do drawing the designs in Illustrator, the amount of vinyl required, and the postage!

Max width is 600mm, max length I would like to keep below 1000mm (I can do longer, but it's a pain in the ass). I can do stuff for your cars/boats/pikey caravans too if you like!

Cheers,

The cutter software uses it's own unique .SBD files!

Best is to send them to me as .AI or .EPS (.WMF at a push) and I will convert them.

I can convert .BMP and .JPG/JPEG, but I don't rate the conversion process too highly, and usually end up re-drawing them from scratch... then the cost goes up! Smile

This site may be of some use to you Andy.

You can download almost any logo as an eps vector. They even have Rossi's seat hump dog logo!

That is a great site, and would've saved me a lot of time in the past!

I've already drawn just about everything I need, but there's still loads of useful stuff on there.

Still, it taught me how to (start to) use Illustrator... handy in it's own right.
