For those that dont venture onto the other forums, Check this out, No idea what it cost to build or indeed what the new owner paid for it.. But it looks lovely... very nice effort, Such a shame it has a suzuki engine in it, thats not a dig at suzuki more to do with why the Hell did honda not ever do a 500 road going stroker....!!!!!
Damn I thought you were going to wow us with an NSR500V that someone had road registered! But no, it's an RGV250 frame plated up to look like an NSR with a suzuki engine... That West one is nicer I think. _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
StephenRC45 had an RGV500 (bored out) on the dyno a few weeks ago and it was pretty disappointing. Well, not exactly disappointing, as we knew it wouldn't make the power RG owners all claim, but disappointing in the fact that the increased power over a 250 wasn't really worth the sacrifice in weight.
You are adding like 2/3rd more engine (extra crank, extra barrels, and it's a big motor!) and only making 40% more power. It didn't rev either, but it did sound the bollox! I almost wanted it just 'cos of the noise!
The 21F3 would kick its ass on any road or track, but if you are into Suzuki's you'd just have to build one! _________________ Andy.

The frame isnt plated up, its been completly re-structured. The machined sections welded on and blended in under the front of the seat are the only subframe as the carbon seat is self supporting.
The central spars have been increased in size and are braced between them, it weighs 117kg wet and makes over 110bhp (at the rear wheel on a Dynapro and Dynojet dyno) what is the weight/power of your average NSR250?
I seem to remember the fox craft RGV500 at the Llandow track day making the 250's look like they had a reverse gear down the main straight and out of the corners! But like you said not worth the difference...............
There must be an awful lot of RGV removed then, as even a standard one is lardy dry, let alone wet! Mind you, there's a good chunk of weight to be saved in having no subframe, a self-supporting seat, and carbon fairings. _________________ Andy.

Carbon GP bodywork
GP Ohlins suspesion
Marchesini Magnesium wheels
Every bracket made from Carbon or Titanium
Shephard 570 motor
Nova Tranny
Barlow Pipes
Arrow Ti/Carbon fastners
Both the weight and power have been measured not made up.............
Do you want me to put the video up of the RGV5 or do you want to remember it your way?
I rode an RG500 once back when I had my GSXR on 1989. The owner mod'd it pretty heavy, but I really wasn't impressed with the way it rode, and power was not all that great. I just wish Honda had made an 500cc version of the NSR250. _________________ james

They told me that you were a funny bunch on here on another forum and suggested I posted on here to see what negative comments you could come up with!!!
Hi Barry, the bike is amazing and just the fact that it really wanted to be a NSR is enough for us to welcome it
Any stroker and especially a 4 cylinder is on the wishlist of any real 2-T fan. I almost wrote to you about the first pictures. I missed the shot from behind, I love the sight of 4 pots sticking out, but they came later.
When trying to sell a 4 cyl 2-T the best argument is the shot from behind and the SOUND
BUT loose the speedometer!!
And funny enough, I have never seen a shop offer a special kickstart arm and they are all awfull also the one on our NSRs.
Congrats with the bike. Please do ride it and when you have a video with sound (NOT heavy metal but engine sound) please post it here _________________ Poul
