MC18 parts in Oz

I am finding extremely difficult to find parts for my 1989 MC18 in Australia. I am willing to purchase from overseas so does anyone know anywhere I can get parts??

I am after one in particular at the moment - gear lever and assembly from foot peg to gearbox shaft?

Please help as I don't want to have to sell it due to lack of parts!! Sad

Hey Kimmy. I'm in Brisbane and have an MC18 race bike. Most parts are the same as the CBR250 parts. Take the broken bits to your local wrecker and see what they have that will fit.

Alternatively, try the wreckers that's attached to the import motorcycle centre in Moss st, Springwood. They usually have a couple of NSR's in there which they can pull bits off for you, and they know where to buy new parts from.

I'd offer you my spare gear levers and steps, but I know the day I let them go, will be the day I break them and wish I hadn't!

Thank you, I know the guys at City Motorcycle wreckers and they didn't have what I need this time round. They did give me an MC21 assembly but the bracket is slightly too short and when speaced out, comes loose. I didn't know about cbr parts so thank you, will see how I go.

Try Victorian Motorcycle Wreckers (www.victorianmotorcyclewreckers.com.au)or Southern Cross Motorsports (www.southerncrosssports.com). I managed to get some MC16 bits from them yesterday and they did have some MC18 fairings hanging up.

Is there no chance your local dealer can't order you some of the parts. In the UK quite a few parts for the MC16/18 are still avaliable.

Yes this is very true....I've been ordering from Tyga and David Silver Spares for the rebuild of my MC16.

YAYYY, I found one!!!! Thank you everyone for your help and especially Canuck13 because it was Victorian Motorcycle wreckers that have it!!! I can now ride on....until the next part breaks Laughing
