hi there cylinders huh!!!!!!!!!!!

it all depends on how badly they are damaged as they can be re-welded and repaired to standard form and early mc18 cylinders fit.i have been down this road before and they are becoming rather hard to come by.

piston kits are easy to get hold of and im sure that someone on the forum will point you in the right direction for cylinder repairs. if you get stuck i have one mc16 cylinder that needs repairing and replating spare as well as a pair of mc18 cylinders in the same condition.............

and welcome to the forum.

Cheers mate,

They are repareable. Just need replating. I want to race the bike so should i put race cylinders on the bike??? As in Honda rs250 cylinders...is this doable??

MC18 barrels are the way to go really as these will bolt right on. However there are lots of things that hold back the MC16, barrels wont cure everything.

It looks like the closest to an RS250 Rolling Eyes

An MC18 motor will out perform an MC16 everyday of the week even with MC18 barrels etc on it.

Go with MC18 cylinders if you can get a set. That's probably your best move.

MC16 crank?....anyone?

Sorry about that. You're not gonna have any luck finding a decent MC16 crank, but there are ways and means of rebuilding the one you have. Steve's the man, and he loves doing it Wink

Concerning cylinders, if you put out enough pleas then I'm sure you can rustle the bits together

MC16 cranks..

You don't stand much more of a chance getting a good MC18 crank.

Still we have ways and means.
