I'm sure this question has been asked before but I am setting up a 21 for racing, have changed front rim for a VFR400 rim (4.00x17) to suit 120x17 slick and would like to change rear 4.5x17 rim to 5.00/5.25x17 to suit 160x17 slick. Have tried CBR900 early rim but is a 5.50x17 and is too wide for the chain run. Any suggestions as to a Honda solution to my problem?

I think a 4.00 front rim is alittle on the large side! I think you mean a 3.5" for the front.
As for the rear you will want to try and find an RS250 wheel and make up a new sproket carrier/disk spaer for it unless you have the HRC kit.
However, the race kit for the NSR only uses a 3.5 and 4.5 so a 150 is more than enough really for a stock-ish '21. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
Keep the 110 front and if you must, you can just mount a 160 on the standard rim, but as everyone says, the 150 is the best.
Tyres don't have to be as big as possible, only as big as neccessary to bring the power on the tarmac.
Look at the 125 bikes in the GP on their skinny tyres going 220kmh _________________ Poul
