300cc kit questions

Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:23 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I'm in the midst of trying to fit a 300cc kit. I noticed that one of the barrels is marked "D", and t'other "C". My pistons are all marked "B".

Do the piston and barrel need to be matched the same way as a 250cc set would be, or is the D and C marking designed to differentiate between the front and rear barrel?

Don't worry about the markings, as Matt measures each component up and supplies the necessary parts that match his personal specifications.

The pistons are not Honda items, so the markings are irrelevant.

As Andy says, just ignore the marking. If there's anything scribbled then it's for my own reference when sizing things up.

Each kit can take either piston in either barrel.

Thanks guys.

While I've got you here (so to speak) what's the ring gap meant to be?
