Does anyone know where to get the fairing connectors that consist of a plastic plate with a piece if tubing connected to it that slips over the tubular ali frame-to fairing connector, both have a hole drilled through them and you attach with a retaining clip?
If i knew what they were called I would search but I dont so I cant, you see them used on race bikes for quick release purposes.
Do you want both parts (the part that bolts to the frame and the part that is attched to the fairing) or just the fairing part? _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
I too have been looking for someone to make a substitute for a NSR, using the existing holes, to make it possible to use the real thing without having to weld on the frame
here is a detail from another bike

One of the guys on the RD forum sent me this link, its what I am looking for but may not be any good for you Andy? also there is a link on the RGV forum and there was a GSXR and an RGV with these as standard they used a rivited on mounting post that may be of use to you?
Completly unrelated but I found a lovely ali quick action throttle while searching for the clips. Its an RS site so you guys probably know about it already.
Looking at your link I reckon that I could use those clips better than the mead speed ones, they look thin enough to slip into my ali mounting strut if I drill the threads out, thanks.
I have two mounts per side as you can see in this picture:
For an NSR you have to drill into the frame ! And they'll probably dent the frame in a spill.
I don't like that and I expect the authorities don't either.
We just need someone (nudge, nudge, know whatahmean, know whatahmean!) to make a piece of alu that can be bolted into the existing holes under the frame, bends around the frame and has a small diameter tube or stud that will allow the piece below to go over.
If need be, you could make a bracket of a piece of flat alu and then bolt the plastic thing (meant for bolting to the fairing) to the bracket and the tube above would fit nicely onto it and the other plastic adapter would go into the other end of the tube.

The tubes I showed has inner diameter 11,8mm and outer diam. 14mm length 65 mm.
Yes, I bought a sample but never got any further.
One thing I dont like about them is, that to get the clip in, the plastic adapter must not be totally in, but about 5mm from all in. _________________ Poul

No additional holes drilled in my frame. The F3 pins are exactly as you describe... so "someone" (HRC) does already make them! _________________ Andy.
