further 300cc kit questions

Fri Aug 10, 2007 10:58 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

With the bike almost completely reassembled, I suppose now would be a decent time to check to see if the rings were gapped when the kit was put together. I had assumed that they were as they were already on the piston, but I'd rather not find out the hard way.

I'm also not quite sure how to align the rc valves. What's the correct fully open marker look like?

Rings are gapped when the kit is put together. Any piston in any cylinder unless I say otherwise.

There's a punch mark on the cylinder. Align the pointer to that at fully open.
