can anyone PLEASE tell me how long you have until you run dry, (from when light starts coming on)

and does it just simply SEIZE? or does engine kill it self to preserve life?

It will seize! You have quite a few miles from when the light goes on though, but the best thing to do it fill the reservoir to the top, then just top it back up after every ride!

Sure, you'll be carrying around maybe 2kg of oil with you all the time, but I for one am hardly a racing snake, so it's of little consequence really.

Having never run mine for any more than 10 miles with the light on though (and that was a good 10 years ago!), I can't tell you how far you'd get. I seem to remember that you can get a full litre of oil in once the light comes on, and I think the MC21 capacity is getting on for 1.2 litres. You'll need to do the sums though, as oil/fuel consumption varies depending on level of tune and riding style.

There isnt much oil in the tank once the light comes on. I wouldnt run it very far, I think its about 200cc.

When it runs out, it just seizes. Shocked
