Shock advice

Fri Sep 28, 2007 3:55 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Posted on behalf of Garth:

Could you help please? I need to know which CBR shock would be a direct fit? Would it be the pre-RR version 600's or 1000RR's? I've merely been told it would be from an 01 to 05 blade. A bit lost with this one as it would be cheaper to ship a shock than to have mine rebuilt here in South Africa. Prices are just stupid, I tell you!

Thanx in Advance
Garth

I just bought a F4i shock for parts. It looks close. Its at my tuner's shop so I can't tell exactly. I'll check it out when I get a chance.

It is the CBR f3 shock that fits. The F4 Is to long. My 21 was fitted with a Fox CBR f3. I fitted a Ohlins F3 on my mc18 It is about 1 inch longer than stock . The R1 is a lot shorter if I remember right.

BTW: the R1 shock is a piece of junk in my opinion.

You're right there Steve... glad I've got a few F3 shocks too! They work really well and bolt right in with no mods! Very Happy

I have to say, the USD NF5 front end was working really well too today. That is seriously nice suspension. Smile
