MC28 Tank Filter removal

Hello All, Need to do some work on my tank, it needs cleaning out , took the fuel tap off yesterday but cannot see how you get the fuel filter tube inside of the tank out without wrecking it Confused Confused Anybody help please

if you have gunk built up around the base of the filter, it could be held in. it takes a little work sometimes to pop it out. Simple prod and poke at it till it comes out, just be careful with the screen area.

Just returned from the shed , Managed to yank the filter out , with my thumb nails. It was stuck with gunk , plus fuel at the bottom of tank has deformed the tube Sad looks like i need a new one ! thanks for the replies Fonty and Charles.
