Before I go bidding on ebay, can anyone confirm if the CBR 929/954, or perhaps the first generation CBR600RR calipers will bolt right onto a stock MC21 front end? If so, anyone care to share their feedback about performance?
Interesting. Different bolt pattern or offset? I see that the specs list both 21 and 28 as 4-piston calipers so maybe I won't gain much by swapping in the cbr pots.

As long as a 90kg bloke can lift the rear wheel at the end of the straight, at 200kmh, with only two fingers on the middle of the lever, why bother changing from the original _________________ Poul

It may just be old stock lines, or a master cylinder that needs rebuilding/replacing for me then because the brakes were a little "weak" for me at my last track day. So since I figure I was going to rehaul something, I might as well ask what I can bolt right in so I can do it all at once.
It's good to hear that the calipers have that much potential in them!
I've replace my std MC28 calipers for the CBR ones. I'd highly reccomend it. My original NSR calipers were seized after years of road salt etc. I checking into getting new Honda seals,.....I think the cost came to over £45.
Saw a mint set of CBR ones on eBay for £20, they'd done about 1000miles they were cheaper than a set of new seals, not to mention the hastle of striping, cleaning and re assembling. Whilst I was on the case, I picked up a GSXR radial m/cylinder for £35.
It was a great combination and a cheap way to get almost new brakes. I'd have difficulty holding on, they were that good. Well worth it......for the right price of course.
My bike is a 21 with 28 lower legs so that it can have the CBR calipers on it...... You wouldn't believe the braking power. _________________ MC21
