Abba stand fitting kit size ???

Wed Jan 09, 2008 1:02 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello All !
I know there's loads of posts regards the Abba swing arm pivot stand but I can't find out what size fitting kit is needed ?
Is it the same as an NC30 or similar ?

Please help as even the bloke at Abba doesn't seem to know !

Cheers,

Dave.

All you need to do is measure the size of the hole in end of the swingarm pivot (I estimate it will be about 8mm) and the effective O.D. of the nut on the other side. The Abba rep will be able to select a couple of adaptors to suit then.

I imagine an NC29 or NC30 will do the job... let us know once you find out! Wink

DON'T try and move the bike once it's on the stand. Someone tried to move mine and the "pin" side popped out and scratched the frame as the bike dropped off it!

Thanks for the tip Andy !
I measured each side the other day. Offside about 8mm, nearside about 10mm. I'll fire that off to Mr Abba and see what he says...

I'll let you all know !

Are you sure? The left side (that goes over the nut) is more like a cup, and I would expect it to be about 18mm I.D.

I don't think I'm sure about which diameter i need at the nearside. I've never seen an Abba fitting kit or seen it in action so I'm not actually sure where it sits...? Maybe I need to bob to a shop and have a butchers...then I'll know what I'm after !

Just looked at the abba website and it looks like you could use 2 pin type adaptors rather than a cup and pin.
