silencers changing colour

Sun Jan 06, 2008 3:29 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I had put a set of dogfight pipes on my bike, with beaut blue silencers. Since I started riding it a few months back, the silencer colour has changed to a deep purple. Is this normal, and if not, what can be done to restore them to their former glory?

No they should stay blue... Not sure why they've done that.

I don't think that they're copies, they looked the real deal. I cleaned them with mr sheen, my mate thinks that that may have had something to do with the colour change.

Cheers for the pics. I at least know that the stickers are original, as they are also "Tunned by dog fight racing". Does anyone know if the stickers will go back on after being peeled off? If they can be put back on easily I'll get the cans anodised again and see how things go. If not, I can live with purple cans.
