Pistons one ring ?

Do RS pistons have one ring,or are these HRC ?Standard has two I believe,mine has one.I was told they re CR pistons .Not too sure about that ?

yes rs have 1 ring and the nsr have 2 but i had my cylinders plated again Rolling Eyes by bdk and did good job as always and they sent single ring pistons with them but dont know if there cr or not mate

The "common" single-ring piston used is from an RM125. RS pistons are HRC pistons!

Not sure what machining needs to be done to fit RM pistons, but they won't be a direct replacement, that's for sure.

i havnt had chance to use mine in anger yet because still need few go faster bits to finish her off and im always skint cos keep buying more nsrs Rolling Eyes

A fresh one with nothing but a wire splice and 2 holes in the airbox lid should be making in excess of 60hp -- certainly more than enough to give it a good workout! Wink

she ran 62 with the dog fights and hrc box and harness and daytona filter Very Happy ive fitted hrc carb kit since and got the head conversion to fit then i just need the tyga hi flo stuff then can mess around with the ramair box Twisted Evil

I think these are the HRC pistons (13100-NF5-760) for the MC21...

NF5 is RS250.

The bore is the same but they use a 14mm pin rather than a 15mm on the NSR and also have a reduced crown hight so can't be used on stock NSR barrels.

The RS barrel is different in every way. You couldn't mix them up. They do have one thing in common though....

Both have a 54mm hole Very Happy
