Sun Jan 20, 2008 9:56 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All,

A friend of mine has a 95 mdl Honda RS250 which he has decided to pull apart and sell in pieces. Everything off the bike is for sale - Engine, Carbs, Radiator, Wheels, Body (black), Front end incl Brembos, Tank, Pipes, etc etc...

Bike is here with me in Melbourne - happy to arrange shipping to where ever - just post with what your after n Ill organise some prices - be better if we keep all posts in this thread (rather than PMs) so I dont get confused!

Cheers, Chris

Keith,

Are you sure you have a 91 mdl MC18? If it is 91 itll be an MC21...

I have seen this model RS engine in MC21s before, but dont know much about the amount of work involved in getting it in etc - remember that this idea is no good for a road bike as the RS engine doesnt have a kick start.

Maybe others have more knowledge? If you start a thread on it, or do a search in here there should be some info around...

Not too worried about the kickstart as contemplating using it for the track anyway (although F3 regs over here do insist on the starting mechanism being there - I think) If you could put a figure on it and cost up freight that would be good, just exploring my options at the moment as the bike apart from the engine, is too good to break!. Thanks Keith

You also realize the chain is on the wrong side?

Some info on the engine - It a 95 model with and end of life crank, and the pistons have 300km on them. Otherwise, it is standard as far as I know, but was wildcarded in the AUS GP in 99 with kit cylinders which are no longer on it.

I sold the RS250 carbs to someone today so if anyone wanted them I only have ones without chokes left.

Basically what I am after is barrels, pistons etc as the bike I have has a scored and gouged front barrel and head but it depends on price. Pretty sure it is an r5k model which would make it an 18, wouldn't it?
