Hi guys ive just been offered a freshly rebuilt engine with new main bearings(outer two only) new crank seals and fresh pistons with re-plated cylinders from aptec.All honda parts used in the rebuild exept bearing which are koyo for £400 the bike its from has 10'000 klm on.
is this too much to be paying for this engine? or should i snap his hands off!!

Just to give you some idea, my crank rebuild cost me £430 but this included new rods and all bearings and seals. Then the rebuild parts such as pistons and so-on cost me another £300. Hope this gives you some idea if its worth it. Just ask to see all the receipts for the rebuild.

ok thanks. the guy works in the local honda dealer and has all the reciepts for the parts and for the re-plating. so going on what you say this may not be a bad buy seeing how they are like rocking horse poo to find as a spare engine.
