Rebuilt questions

Sat Feb 23, 2008 9:47 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi mates!

Well spring is coming soon and i've got to hurry and fix my seizured 21. Twisted Evil

Found 2 good barrels(H\C AND L\A) and now searching for the rest needed for the rebuilt.I have the heads kv3HRR and kv3LFR so i'm ok with these?

I was thinking to measure the exact diameter of the barells with a

micrometer and then choose the best piston to fit from the 3 stock's or do

you think it is too much and i should go with the standard information:

'A' Cylinder - 'B' Piston
'B' Cylinder - 'No mark' Piston
'C' Cylinder - 'D' Piston

Are you going racing? If the answer is yes, are you that competitive that it makes a difference? If so, measure the barrels and choose the piston best suited to the barrel and race conditions.

If the answer is no to either of the above, then go by the A|B, B|#, C|D Honda guidelines.

No its not for racing just a very carefull rebuilt.
So i need one B and one D...

The mark on the piston is on the top in the middle?Ive seen a few but no mark maybe it was the 'no mark' ones.

Rings, pins etc are all the same?

Use MC28 part numbers. Rings, pins, clips are all the same part numbers.
