Hey , Guys , I have a set of RS250 ( suppose to be 2003 or newer units) , the comp. adjusters are in front on lower legs. They say "NXA1-L" and "R" on the lower inners. No manufacturing stamp of any kind? Are they made by Showa? , Also , I'd like to have the ''blue-anodized-top'' fittings re-anodized. Does anyone know , Could a guy just unscrew them and send them off, or would I be opening a "Jack-in-the Box"? I mean , Does the top blue fittings , are connected to another parts internally , besides the fact they will be under spring pressure? Lastly , If I do all that , I think I should change out the fork oil , just for good measure. What wt. oil and how much? Oh , and these are to be fitted on a NSR for street bike usage, not racing. thanks ; guy's ; dave ps , oh , and any particular ''brand'' of oil for these really nice babies?
they are made by showa. the cap can be removed if needed. I would get a good idea how the insides of the forks work prior to just poping them off though. If you can, bring them to a suspension shop and they can service them, as well as probably get the blue tops replaced or may have a place to re-anodize them.
You can use them on an NSR, but it will require some mods. The biggest is the triple tree swap. _________________ Charles Gallant
