Forks

Mon Jun 23, 2008 3:46 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi,
Can anyone advise on which readily available inverted forks will fit into an MC28, I am aware that NC35 forks will fit but what other forks/yoke combinations can be made to fit. How about zxr 400?

Thanks.
Dave.

I have RS250 forks (real ones... not that Italian rubbish!), RVF400 NC35 is an easy conversion, and I have seen Ducati 748, ZXR250, ZXR400, and Shocked RGV250 VJ22 used too!

The most straightforward conversion by far is the RVF400, simply using an NSR stem in the RVF triples. You get to use a matching Enkie or Magtek wheel, and the relatively small RVF bottom clamp gives pretty good steering lock. You will still need to make lock-stops to prevent interference with the radiator, but you will undoubtedly have more lock than I do with my HRC forks.
