Are there anything important I should notice? Can I take the fuel tank off and just use the hose to rinse the engine? If I don't have a back-stander, how can I lubricate the whole chain after the washing? Thanks.
Personally i never point a hose at my bike and never have. If it needed washing i would use a bucket and sponge and rinse with a watering can.
That way water under pressure can't get where it don't belong (its more controllable).
Also is very essential every time after washing your bike to start the engine just to make sure that there is no moisture at the carbs and the engine...
Oiling the chain without race stand
Usually requires 2 people (or one skilled opperator)
Option A) Put on side stand, turn bars full lock right, and pull the bike towards you to rock it up on the side stand and front wheel. This will pick up the back wheel. Person 2 then spins back wheel and oils chain.
Option B) Walk bike forward and person 2 oils chain while walking beside it.
This can be done solo if your good, but normally results in a rear rim covered in oil
Option C) Oil the half you can see, walk it forward to reviel the other half, repeat process. _________________ Winning isn't everything, but loosing isn't anything
