The CR carbs would work, but it's the manifolds that are the issue. They are discontinued by Honda. I have a pair of manifolds on long-term "loan" from Racer38 that will be going on my MC16 (or maybe MC21) if I can get some suitable needles for the carbs!

The MX carbs often have an idle circuit, making them a little more user friendly than the RS PJ38's. PWK's, as used on the KX125/250 are a good carb.

cheers andy i was thinking crosser carbs because they are quite cheap and ivs seen some rs 125 carbs for sale at like £100 each.i think im just thinking out loud at the mo but seriously considering the big carb route its just the hassle that comes with fitting them Rolling Eyes

You'll need the RS throttle cable and splitter, a throttle tube/housing (a CR one does the trick nicely!), RS needles, and possibly RS slides... and those all elusive manifolds! The manifolds need to be 1987~1991, as after this they are a different size.

I just finished a CR250R for my father....those manifolds are very very hard to get.

I paid 300.00 usd for an NOS piece. Used ones are very hard to find

I have a set of big Kelvin Flatsides on my SP
