Sat Jul 10, 2010 7:54 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi

Just installed my rebuilt engine in my MC21 and i have got water leaks from two head studs on the top cylinder and 1 from the head stud on the bottom barrel.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing it

thanks

A leaking gasket?

Take the heads off and make sure the cylinders aren't cracked around the studs.

If the cylinders are cracked around the studs is there anything that can be done - apart from new cylinders.

Thanks

I have had them welded before but its not very pretty.

Best get the heads off and have a look. It normally happens when the studs have been reinstalled and over tightened.
