I have a spring for a 21 which I was informed is HRC.
There are no markings that are obvious to me. Without taking the original shock off the bike and the spring from the shock to compare; is there a way to tell?
I was told maybe the diameter of the steel could be different. I realise there are 2 or 3 different spring weights; to tell the difference?
If any body has any info, I would appreciate it. Just gathering info at the moment; miles away from my bikes.
On a different subject, I just bought a complete HRC jet kit for a 21. I went all tingly. Is this normal, because that never happened on any of my wedding days.
MC18 springs were all blue, and MC21 HRC springs were all black I seem to recall, but not sure about MC28 springs.
You would've thought they would have had a dab of paint on them to signify the rate, but they don't... at least the ones I have don't anyway.
Maybe ask Matt if he can have it checked for you, are see if YSS Thailand in BKK will test it? They have a shock dyno. _________________ Andy.

Mine is red. Makes me suspicious. I see quite a few items on ok shon which claim to be HRC and then are not. Might just be the translation though.
The YSS is a good tip; I need a couple of other shocks from them. I try not to ask Matt too many questions; I bother him too much.
On the subject of ok shon, I won a complete f3 top end for less than 200 but the seller now refuses to deliver and gave me a refund. Not very happy.
Yeah, I'm convinced that many times when they see OKShon! is the bidder they either "bid up" the price or pull the auction to keep the stuff from being sold to foreigners. I think this is why OKShon! have changed their user name a couple of times recently. _________________ Andy.
