Just got back from my weekend at the track here in Japan. As I said in a previous post I was looking forward to riding Motegi today but we cancelled since one of our number crashed his GSXR750 and died on Sunday. I was the rider in front of him (but out of sight); here's what was written by the rider behind him:

im so sorry for your friend.
ride safe
Sad news such as this only goes to remind us all how dangerous riding a motorcycle can be. Even on a track, in the correct clothing, we are all still at risk, but it's the element of danger and excitement that keeps many of us riding.
Condolences to his family and friends from everyone here, I am sure.
