Hi looking for some help have been rebuilding a nsr 250 mc28 have now got it together .What I need to know is when you put the ignition card in the rear light comes on and the clocks light up and also the front indicators come on as postion lamps. Is the main headlamp also supose to light or does that only come on once the bike is started by means of a relay some where on the bike .As my headlamp does not light but I have not got the bike started as yet.any help please Sad

It won't come on until it starts.

Though I think I've seen mine come on when I kicked it over even though it didn't start.

It must be a power thing or something as it comes on after a kick or two anyway, but yes it's off at first.

A similar tale, I nearly ripped my roadbike down again when I first got it fired up as the speedo was blipping like the rev counter does, yep, then realised I'd not fitted a chain but had fitted the flywheel cover, speedo cable and the front sprocket was spinning anyway....
