New owner saying hi

Evening all

Just saying hello, took delivery of an NSR today in exchange for my RGV so will be spending a bit of time on here from now on looking for info.

The bike's grandad is silikesguiness and has since been painted in rothmans colours, originally a pentax, bog std aprt form ohlins shock. painted black swingarm.

Only things planned are to put an orignal (un painted) swingarm back on, get the wheels repainted, rebuild and service.

Looking forward to finding out more on the nsr's as i've always owned (and still do) rgv's and rs's.

Anyone any ideas on wheel refurb for the magnesium rims? assume no one makes or has translated a service manual for the 21?

Cheers
Brendan

Hi there and welcome! Did we meet at Cadwell?

Local boy eh? (I'm in Codnor, that's about 8 miles up the A38).

A mate of mine had some Magteks refurbished (then fitted them to an RVF400!), they're spot on, I'll quiz him on where they where done.

Is the bike still Jap restricted?

hi fontty yeah we met at cadwell mate, the same ricey3 off the rgv forum.

M-max box still in place, not been out for a run yet and feels like it needs the cobwebs blowing away.

I'm from alvaston mate, used to live at heanor, used to spend a fair bit of time in codnor woods on the mountainbike and ironville on the crosser!

any info on the magtek's would be cool.

cheers
brendan

welcome mate,

I had a google chuckle when you wrote up the "how to clean your frame" on the RGV forum.

Good to see you on another forum and I hope you enjoy the bike!
