MC21 No Longer For Sale

Wed Oct 08, 2008 1:28 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Well, it looks like things money wise aren't getting any better for us at the minute, so my MC21 race bike might have to go. I don't want to sell it, but needs must. We have a holiday booked to Florida for early next year, and I was going to sell some shares I have to pay for it, but now the share price has bombed, we are struggling to find the cash. I would rather cancel the holiday but the wife and kids are having none of it!

The bike is a 1990 MC21 model, and has been used for 1 track day and 2 race meetings since I bought it. I have had it sprayed Rothmans colours and it looks great in the sunlight. It has never let me down at all. It is currently SORN'ed, but still has all the road parts with it except for a headlight and indicators, so it could easily go back on the road with a daylight MOT.

For details of the bike, please have a read here:

I have also got a lot of pics on Photobucket of the bike:

And some taken by Racing Line:

The bike stands me at a fair bit (don't they all!!), so I would be willing to do it in diffreent specs to suit peoples pockets.

I could do the bike fitted with a CBR600FX shock and standard road forks.

Or, bike with fully rebuilt, resprung and revalved forks with brand new stanchions and a brand new Penske shock (all work done by Reactive Suspsenion, bill for over £1000 as proof!)

Or alternatively, I could sell you everything I have including all the above + JHA pipes, set of spare wheels with disks, another rear wheel, bars, levers, oil, spare set of tyres etc etc.

So if you are seriously interested please get in touch by PM'ing me and come and have a look at the bike. I will be very realistic with regards to price, but I can't afford to give it away I'm afraid.

Thanks for looking!

It looks like my MC21 has definitely got to go I'm afraid.

The Penske shock is reserved for someone at the moment, and the JHA pipes have gone though.

For the bike as it stands without spares, but with the rebuilt/resprung forks fitted and the CBR600FX shock I'm looking for £1850.

For the bike with all the spares I have (wheels with disks, bars, levers, sprockets, oil, tyres, spare forks etc etc) I would ideally like £2350.

Please PM me if you are interested, and coming to look at the bike would be no problem.

Thanks,
Rob

Thankfully the bike is now staying put, and is no longer for sale. I couldn't afford to give it away! Things money wise have changed a bit so I no longer have to sell.

Thanks to everyone who showed an interest.
